Christmas is just around the corner and a much higher risk of electrical fires. Here is some simple tips for keeping your family safe this year.

•	Christmas lights are one of the leading causes to electrical fires. By taking electrical tape and wrapping it around the the ends where you plug into the next set will help by protecting them from any water leaking through and keeping them dry.

•	Be sure that you have proper distribution of power and surge protection.

•	Let your children know the hazards that may occur by trying to plug in the lights, or the christmas tree.

•	Do not have a chain of plugs coming from one outlet. This may cause overloading of the outlet and start an electrical fire.
